Climate Change: Institutions, Information, Infrastructure....and Adaptation

What determines peoples' awareness of climate change and risks? How can these be effectively communicated? And how can responses to these risks be unfettered?

Climate change is happening rapidly enough that adaptation is becoming a necessity. This raises two questions: How should we adapt? And how are people adapting now? Answering the second question is in some ways a prerequisite for the first - we cannot make sustainable, feasible policy or other interventions without understanding how people view climate change and the risks, how this view changes under different influences, how their context constrains their response to the risks, etc. This project will investigate these topics. What determines peoples' awareness of climate change and risks? How can these be effectively communicated? And how can responses to these risks be unfettered?
