Anand Shankar
Development Metrics
Development Economics, Macro Economics, Behavioral Economics, Public Finance and Indian Economcy.
Anand Shankar is a Researcher in the Development Metrics group at CDF. He is a B.A (H) Economics graduate from Ramjas College, Delhi University. While at Ramjas College he was awarded the Rai Kedar Nath Gold Medal Award for the best Student in Social Sciences. Anand holds a masters degree in Financial Economics from the Madras School of Economics, Chennai, where he was a merit scholarship holder. During his masters Anand interned at Roulac India Investment Advisory (RIIA), Hyderabad. He worked on projects like GDP Forecasting (China), Sovereign Credit Rating Model (Colombia) and Stock Market Valuation (Belgium). At RIIA he was given the best intern award. His research interests are Development Economics, Macro Economics, Behavioral Economics and Public Finance. Anand has chaired many parliamentary and conventional debates in Delhi University and has written for his department journal and college websites. His Masters dissertation is titled ‘Explaining the Use of Health Insurance in India'.
